On November 18, 2024, Spirit Airlines initiated a court-supervised process in the United States by voluntarily filing for chapter 11. This process will provide Spirit Airlines with legal tools to strengthen their financial position, while allowing them to continue operating their airline.

Spirit Airlines flights and operations will not be affected and customers traveling on Spirit Airlines are requested to re-confirm their flights and reservation status directly with the airline prior to departure.

Due to the suspension of its Boeing 737 operations, REX has cancelled all it's domestic flights between their major cities until further notice.

REX domestic routes that are cancelled:

o Sydney to Brisbane, Melbourne, Gold Coast, and Adelaide

o Melbourne to Brisbane, Hobart, Perth, Canberra, Gold Coast, and Adelaide

o Adelaide to Brisbane, Perth

o Brisbane to Cairns

Customers holding a Regional Express domestic ticket for travel on/after July 30, 2024 on the above routes: REX has announced re-accommodation policies for passengers impacted by their flight cancellations, please reference the links below.
